What is Twisted Gears?
_Twisted Gears is a one day
mini convention for both
Steampunkers and anyone new or is interested in the world of Steampunk.
There will be many workshops and panels such as "A Gentleman's Duel,"
where one can learn the official rules of said duels during the era, and
"Cane Martial Arts" such as the one shown in the Sherlock Holmes movie.
Plus, by registering, either pre-reg or at the door, you are able to
enter the night giveaway where some neat prizes awaits. And speaking of
night, the day comes to an end with a nice dance for any ladies or gents
to dance, mingle, and socialize.

::begin transmmision:: One week till Twisted Gears! Pre-Registration is now closed. Don't worry, if you weren't able to pre-reg your tickets, at the door tickets will still be available. However, it is cash only. Also, apologies for the lack of updates recently. We are working quickly now to get everything updated and ready before February 25th. ::begin transmission:: *sighs* Sad to announce that we will no longer be able to host this mini-con on February 18,2011 BUT *takes a deep breath*......it will now be hosted one week later on February 25, 2011 due to the venue we wanted getting booked before we could get it. Also on the announcements, the venue is officially confirmed and we shall be hosting at University of Houston's (Main Campus) University Center Underground in the Mediterranean Room. Aiyah, what a mouthful. Anyways! Maps and directions shall be up soon....*chattering in the background* Oh, and so will the online registration! Sooooo, dai jia...er...everyone, I mean, keep an eye or monocle out for those announcements *grins* Now, we must get ready for Dickens on the Strand tomorrow *bows* ::end transmission::
